These trucks used to be part of the Meijer fleet.

He also owns a very successful restaurant, Tracey's inside the Roam Inn.

The fireworks really lit up the harbor.
They set of fireworks of all different colors.
Some of the three level fireworks they set off during the show.
Everything was so still while we talked firework after firework.
The breeze off the lake made for a very comfortable evening on the water.
Thanks to the City of Marquette and everyone who donated to help make this annual event possible.
Some of the fireworks were so big people in the crowd said they cold feel the explosion.
You can see Saturn shining brightly off to the right of the photo.
The crowd really loved the powerful explosions.
Slowing it down a little with one or two fireworks at once.
This was a neat firework with a very slow fade.

Just one beautiful explosion after another.

The kids were sure this one was part of the finale.
But the fireworks just kept going!
There were so many purple and blue fireworks the entire sky was purple!

The Negaunee City Police lead the parade.
Following the NCP was the Michigan State Police, Ishpeming Police and Marquette Police Departments.
There was a great turn out this morning for the parade.
The Negaunee City Band was up front for the parade. They sounded great.

The Bishop Baraga Knights of Columbus group.
The 39th Annual Pioneer Days Parade.
The Negaunee Eagles hae been in the community over 100 years.
Next up was the fireworks!
The Negaunee City Fire Department.

Pack 346 was out hanging out candy today.
We all gathered on Iron Street and the surrounding roads to see the parade.
The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 22.
It was a hot day but it sure was beautiful.

Lots of people came up to promote Active Physical Therapy.
The Negaunee Elks donated over $30,000 last year.
The Eastwood Nursing Center is the sister center to Norlite in Marquette.
The staff at Eastwood put together a great float.

The float in honor for local legend, Alan Wayne "Goofus' Ammesmaki. Goofus was known for performing with this Polkaa-Cello, an instrument with bells, whistles and other musical instruments on in one.
Coming back for their 50 year reunion.
