Marquette Library Giving Out Free CDs From Grammy Winner
Marquette – 01/09/12 – In anticipation of the arrival of two-time Grammy Award winning children’s musician, storyteller and author, Bill Harley to Marquette, the Peter White Public Library is giving away free copies of his CD recordings of children’s music and stories. Drawings will be held weekly to give away one CD per week until Harley’s family concert on Friday, February 10 at Forest Roberts Theatre at 7:00 pm. Entry slips for the drawings are available at the Youth Services desk on the lower level of the library.
Bill Harley is the nationally touring, critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter, author, musician is considered by fans and peers alike to be one of the best storytellers in the country for his celebrations of commonality and humanity through comic narrative songs and stories.
Entertainment Weekly labeled Harley, “the Mark Twain of contemporary children’s music.”
Tickets for the fun filled family concert of songs and stories are available at the Peter White Public Library circulation desk or by calling 228-9510. Advance purchase tickets cost $10.00 for adults and $5.00 per student to make it affordable for families to attend together. Tickets purchased at the door are $15.00 for adults and $7.50 for students.
