I am saddened to hear there is an attempt at population control in Melbourne, Australia. I am glad I don’t live there and that I don’t live in China where there is also population control.

In the United States, there seems to be a trend of less marriages, and less births. The population is aging. It is predicted that soon, as these elders die, the remaining U.S. population will not be able to replace the vacancies in the labor force.

Thank you Dan, for doing a great job of putting together an excellent summary of this problem/issue. No-one else has brought this issue to the fore, with the view point of horseriders as the foundation of the arguement. The failure of the DNR to bring a fair and reasonable solution to the issue is extremely frustrating. Especially when it is their responsibility to the public and it is supposedly in their area of expertise. They have chosen to discriminate against a group of people who have been enjoying this family oriented sport for many years. I have not seen any group so completely shut out from DNR cooperation and support before, ever.
I think this topic might be worthy of more than one rant, and one show.
And I loved your songs.

Republican Sen. Howard Walker and Republican Rep. Matt Huuki each rank #1 in the Michigan Senate and House, while Sen. Tom Casperson (36th) and Rep. Ed McBroom (56th) both rank dead last among their colleagues in the Michigan House and the Senate. There is so much violence in the world I try to use the word hate as
little as possible. I prefer to describe the competition between
parties as a difference of philosophy. I would wage a guess that you
and I disagree over 75% of the time, but I respect you, Dan. I commend
you for your courage in appealing the decision of the County
Commission redistricting decision. It is obvious you really care about
the citizens’ Constitutional rights of Equal Representation. In the
state of California, the redistricting committee consists of regular
citizens, no elected officials. If California can do it so can we here
in Michigan. I suggest the PBS Newshour, Channel 13 at 7 p.m. on
Fridays. David Brooks is known as the conservative liberals love. His
liberal counterpart is Mark Shields.
Brooks and Shields were just recognized for being the most civil
political commentators in the media.

I agree there are those who may vote for the Republican whom they
believe could never beat the incumbent, President Obama. However, I
know for a fact that my husband votes with the same integrity and
honor in which he served our Country in Vietnam. I cannot believe he
is in the minority. In Marquette County, only 47% of the citizens
vote. One year there was a record of over 52%. I do not believe those
of us who take our civic responsibility seriously should initiate a
process that would discourage more people from voting.

I found your so-called parody song extremely offensive. If memory serves me correctly, a man was recently prosecuted for wanting to paint the Mackinac Bridge with the blood of Bart Stupak and his family. It is never “funny” to wish death upon anyone. Shame on you! And, I thought this was a “talk show” not a venue for you to try to showcase your mediocre musicianship.
