Verb: Skirl  (SKERL)

Definition:  To emit the high shrill tone of the chanter;  also to give forth music or play on the bagpipe.

Sample sentence: Wearing traditional tartans, the band paraded down the street and thrilled the crowd with the skirl of their bagpipes.
