A classic aircraft from the early days of commercial travel is at the Sawyer International Airport today.
The EAA’s restored 1929 Ford Tri-Motor aircraft is making it’s 2012 tour, bringing people back to the “Golden Age” through Wednesday, August 15th.
Nicknamed the “Tin Goose,” the Ford Tri-Motor was the world’s first mass-produced airliner. It was built by the Ford Motor Company and it played a major role in safe transportation in the United States and overseas travel. This exact airplane was Eastern Airlines very first airplane!
This is a very unique opportunity for adults and children alike, so if you can make it to ride in the vintage aircraft it will be well worth your time!
