10th Annual Vintage Car Show at Applebee’s Marquette
The weather was UP Fall like cool but dry till later in the day after the show
Marquette – September 8, 2012 – Hundreds drove by and stopped to admire the vintage steel. U.P. car lovers brought their vintage stock to Applebee’s. I enjoyed looking at coupes and sedans from the 1930’s, 1920’s Model T’s and A’s, 1960′ Road Runners, 1950’s Power Wagons, Fords original van delivery truck, and much more.
As I walked through the lines of steel I realized Applebee’s was already cooking those new “Southwestern Steaks” on the Two for $20 or 2 for $24 menu. The aroma from the cooks in the kitchen while dozens of families went inside to eat lunch was very enjoyable.

This car was fire engine red. What a spectacular Road Runner.
Applebee’s manager Jeff Kristola and uncle Don Kristola sponsored their 10th annual vintage car show event and Applebee’s gave 50 commemorative t-shirts away to the first 50 that arrived with their cars..
What a rock solid vehicle.
Numerous cans and dry goods were collected as part of helping our local food pantries re-stock their shelves.
Look at Ford’s original delivery van. You can see this was the predecessor to an enclosed delivery truck.
