126th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament a Success in Ishpeming at Suicide Hill
90meter Ski Jumps were fantastic at Suicide Hill Ishpeming
Ishpeming – February 6, 2013 – Several hundred people gathered at Suicide Hill for the 126th annual ski jump featuring a giant bonfire.
WFXD Photographer, Naomi Noordyk, made these comments; “There were a lot of people. It was cold and very snowy. My camera got quite wet. This is definitely a community event where you know everybody. I feel happy and proud to do something so specific to a culture like our own. I also like the button.”
A special thanks to Joe Vizena of Negaunee for interviewing the skiers for 103.3 WFXD.
