Today is Shopping Reminder Day
28 days ’til Christmas? Plenty of time!
Marquette, Michigan – November 26, 2013 – Today is Shopping Reminder Day. Yes, shopping reminder day… you know, in case you FORGOT that Christmas is only 28 days away.
Do we really need a reminder? We’re already being bombarded with commercials and ads telling us to spend our money every day.
Black Friday circulars came out this Sunday and the onslaught of irritating Black Friday doorbuster commercials has begun.
I don’t need any reminders. I’ll go Christmas shopping when I get to it. I’m not one of those last-minute-gas-station-gift shoppers, but I don’t feel the need to finish my list before Thanksgiving.
In fact, I only have one Christmas gift purchased at this point — and I’m just fine with that.
So, if you really need a reminder to get your shopping done, this day is for you. If not, let’s all enjoy November and Thanksgiving before we dive into December and Christmas.
Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? If you’re still shopping, don’t forget to check out UPBargains.com or listen to the Shopping Show tomorrow on Sunny 101.9 FM and each Wednesday from 9 t0 11 am.

When not hard at work writing and editing, if this Sriracha enthusiast isn't experimenting in her kitchen, she can usually be found with her nose in a book or in front of a computer keeping up with her favorite blogs, researching topics for future articles, and playing World of Warcraft... Nancy's days of chasing little ones around are over for now, but she looks forward to chasing grandkids around in the future (the DISTANT future). ***UPDATE! That first grandkid is on the way! Little Liam Michael is expected to make his appearance right around Thanksgiving!*** Until then, she'll be enjoying the quiet and counting down the days until she can spoil her new grandson rotten!
Always in search of a good red and a great read (or a great red and a mediocre read), Nancy welcomes your suggestions on either.
