This might be the best place to celebrate National Science Fiction Day.

Marquette, Michigan  –  January 2, 2014  –  SciFi is one of my favorite movie and book genres. Thanks to my dad and his collection of SciFi books, I grew up geeky reading Asimov, Herbert and Heinlein.

In honor of National Science Fiction Day, I think I’ll pull out the old VHS tapes and watch one of my favorites: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. What SciFi celebration would be complete without William Shatner?  “KHAAAAAAAAANNNN!!!!”

Hopefully my family doesn’t protest too much… I might still be on movie probation for dragging them down Amnesia Lane and forcing The Neverending Story on them!

Do you like SciFi? Leave a comment below and let me know what your favorite SciFi books and movies are.

A member of the Great Lakes Radio family since 2013, Nancy spends a lot of time at the front desk helping customers and the sales team. When not hard at work writing and editing, if this Sriracha enthusiast isn't experimenting in her kitchen, she can usually be found with her nose in a book or in front of a computer keeping up with her favorite blogs, researching topics for future articles, and playing World of Warcraft... FOR THE HORDE! (BattleTag: GingrMadness#1559)

Nancy's days of chasing little ones around are over for now, but she looks forward to chasing grandkids around in the future (the DISTANT future). ***UPDATE! That first grandkid is on the way! Little Liam Michael is expected to make his appearance right around Thanksgiving!*** Until then, she'll be enjoying the quiet and counting down the days until she can spoil her new grandson rotten!

Always in search of a good red and a great read (or a great red and a mediocre read), Nancy welcomes your suggestions on either.
