Couldn't be happier that baseball is back!

Couldn’t be happier that baseball is back!

Overview:  NHL - The Red Wings clinched their playoff berth, so they’re playoff bound for the 23rd consecutive year with a first round draw of Boston.  I don’t want to say that it has anything to do with me being born, but… c’mon!  That’s no coincidence.  The Blackhawks finished fifth, but the defending champs are still going to be reckoned with one way or another.  They’ll face off against the St. Louis Blues in their title defense.  MLB - The Tigers had a bit of a rough road trip (2-3), but now return to Comerica Park for a TEN game home stand.  The Brewers are on absolute fire, winning nine in a row.  The Cubs continued their trend of winning one game every series, and have dropped to 4-8 on the year.  NBA - The playoffs are almost here!  Just three more days of ball coming at you.  The Bucks & Pistons continue to be unwatchable, but Joakim Noah makes the Bulls an entertaining thing to watch come playoff time.  It could be my dislike of Dwight Howard (I’m a Lakers fan after all), but I don’t think that there’s a better center in the league than Noah.

Well, Jay-Z said it best:  “On to the next on!”

(Author’s Note)  Growing up, my favorite baseball clip was Kirk Gibson hitting the home run in the 1988 World Series.  Also, the guy was a former Tiger.  Adding that with my Lakers fanhood, I guess I just have a soft spot for Los Angeles.  THAT is why I have a Dodgers hat on up above.  When they play the Tigers, I root Detroit 100%.  Clarification… the more you know.
