Fun Fact of the Day: It’s Palindrome Appreciation Week

Carl Negaunee MinersWhile it isn’t “officially” Palindrome Appreciation Week, it darn well should be!  All dates this week are palindromes.  What is a palindrome you ask?  Here is what comes up when you ask Google:

PALINDROME – A word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same backward as forward(e.g., madam or nurses run.)

So why is this week Palindrome Appreciation Week?  All the dates are palindromes, provided you ignore that is is 2014.  Take a look:

Sunday:  4 – 13 -14

Monday:   4 – 14 -14

Tuesday:  4 – 15 – 14

Wednesday:  4 – 16 – 14

Thursday:  4 – 17 – 14

Friday:  4 – 18 – 14

Saturday:  4 – 19 – 14

That, ladies & gentleman, is my fun fact of the week!  Carry on.
