KINGSFORD, MI - Congratulations to the Negaunee Miners Tennis Team!  In a day that featured incredible comebacks, six different schools, and some impressive victories, the Negaunee Miners were able to reclaim the U.P. Division I Championship; their fourth in five years.

It came down to the final two flights of games for Negaunee to outlast Menominee for the crown.  Anthony Moyle and Rob Loy of Negaunee were able to pull off a thrilling comeback in No. 3 doubles to clinch the title for the Negaunee Miners.  Sophomore Ben Luke also put up a very good performance, knocking off Marquette’s Justin Flood (7-6, 6-2) to give the Miners a convincing tournament win.
