First Head Shot at GLR!

Marquette, MI  –  May 18, 2016  –  Back in January, I made the decision to stay in Marquette over the summer to take some classes and just work basically any job I could find, starting with two at a time. Then, about month later, I had the realization that I was just working jobs instead of searching for  something I actually enjoyed doing and had chosen to focus my education and life around. I wanted to dive into the real-life design and web world and found my way to GLR through NMU’s career services website. The more I read, the more this company really appealed to a small-town, local girl like me and I kept calling until I could get a chance to meet with them. Now I’m here and more excited with each new thing I learn and opportunity I am given.

I am an Upper Peninsula native from Iron River where I graduated as a Wykon from West Iron County High School. I currently attend Northern Michigan University (Go Cats!) studying graphic design and public relations. My outdoor side loves downhill skiing, water sports, archery, fishing and hiking. I’ve also been playing around the U.P. hockey scene since age four and am a die-hard Red Wings fan.

I am so happy to now be a member of the Great Lakes Radio team and excited to get to bring my own experiences into an already awesome environment.
