Pre-Holiday Gas Prices Rose Slightly
Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Pre-holiday gas prices rose slightly, AAA Michigan reports. Michigan’s current statewide average is $3.88 per gallon, about 2 cents more than last week and about 40 cents higher than this time last year.
For the second week in a row, the average price for self-serve decreased about two cents in Metro Detroit over the past week, with the average at $3.90 per gallon. The price is about 46 cents higher than last year.
Of the cities surveyed by AAA Michigan, the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Marquette area, where it’s approximately $3.79 per gallon. The highest average is in the Ann Arbor area at about $3.92 per gallon.
