Birthday Cake Frappuccino from Starbucks

The cake is not a lie. The Birthday Cake Frappuccino from Starbucks is so good.

Marquette, Michigan  –  March 26, 2015  –  Last night I saw an article in my Facebook feed about Starbucks celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Frappuccino with a limited edition Birthday Cake Frappuccino – so limited that it’s only going to be offered today through Monday!

I’m not a Starbucks junkie. I don’t go there every day, or even every week. Sometimes months go by without me making a stop at Starbucks… but Frappuccinos are my second favorite drink at Starbucks (my favorite is Iced Tazo Passion Tea sans sweetener — I’m sweet enough as it is). I didn’t just want Birthday Cake Frappuccino today, I needed it.

The Birthday Cake Frappuccino is everything that I thought it would be. This vanilla bean and hazelnut dream topped with raspberry flavored whipped cream was so sweet and birthday cake-y, and the raspberry flavored whipped cream topping put this drink right over the top for me.  I even let a coworker taste it and he said he wanted to chew it – it tastes THAT much like birthday cake.

I’m sad this drink is only here for a very limited time (five days is just not enough). I guess it’s a good thing though since I’d go broke if I visited Starbucks on a daily basis. That, or I’d wind up in a sugar coma. Ultimate verdict on the Birthday Cake Frappuccino? Amazing. Go get one. Right now. Seriously. Why are you still reading this?

Did I mention that it has raspberry whipped cream on top… RASPBERRY!!!
