Marquette, MI  –  August 30, 2017  –  After much anticipation from the previous cancellation, this year’s Bay Cliff Golf Outing came with some unexpected changes. Due to more heavy rain and lightning today’s outing was delayed half an hour before officials surveyed the course, finding that Greywalls Golf Course was “underwater” and unfit for playing. Despite the disappointing change in the day’s schedule, the afternoon was most definitely not a complete loss!

After announcing that the tournament would not be taking place today, Bay Cliff Committee Volunteer Nicole Burony-Noble urged everyone to say for the rest of the day’s events. With dinner moved up to 1pm and a wall of door prizes still to be won, there was still much fun to be had up in the Clubhouse.

Members of each team were comped a free 18 hole game on Greywalls, to be used any at any time and given their complementary Bay Cliff ball cap, as well as a delicious lunch at The Clubhouse.

For the last ten years, the Bay Cliff Health Camp has been working with the Marquette Golf Club and local businesses throughout Marquette to fundraise in support of the camp’s many programs.

While the silent auction was removed from the schedule, door prizes were still up for grabs. Gifts from local businesses like certificates to Pictured Rocks Cruises were given out as well as Bay Cliff Health Camp apparel. The 50/50 raffle drew a lot of attention as people pushed the pot high and higher which each donation.
