Come out to Oktoberfest in Downtown Negaunee, Saturday, September 23rd.

Marquette, MI  –  September 19, 2017  –  Negaunee is taking the Fall season to a new level with Oktoberfest 2017 hitting the streets in this weekend. Visit Iron Street in downtown Negaunee on Saturday, September 23, 2017, to enjoy the feeling of warmth and friendship. Oktoberfest 2017 will give people a chance to get to know their community and local businesses better while enjoying some harvest season fun and live music.

Between noon and 6 pm, visitors can wander down Iron Street and enjoy a family-friendly event featuring something for the whole family. The guys can head to Jackson’s Pit for the “Stein Holding Contest” at 3 pm, while the bar also presents their outdoor beer garden, J.P. Bavarian Pretzels & Sam Adams Oktoberfest Beer Specials. Other food vendors including Tino’s Bar & Pizza while be borrowing one from the Germans and serving Johnsonville Bratwurst & sauerkraut pizza and offering gourmet Bavarian pretzel rolls for your cudighi sandwiches.

Mom can walk one block over to Expressions Salon on Jackson Street for a free nail polish change or eyebrow wax and some snacks. You can also throw your name in for Expressions Salon’s mini take-home spa package giveaway!

Kids can pick out their new Halloween costume from Vista Theater or check out the crafting booths and paint their own pumpkins! There will also be a games tent for kids to enjoy on “Kid’s Corner”. On the way home, pick up a DVD from Family Video or hit River Rock Lanes with Ishpeming using one of the 200 prizes up for grabs during Negaunee’s Oktoberfest!

Lauren has been with GLR for a few years now and does all of the new graphic materials for the websites. She is also a professional photographer and covers most of Great Lakes Radio events

No matter what event, Lauren will probably be there putting her camera in people's faces! Make sure to smile!
