August 10, 2018Marquette Township, MI – Marquette Super One Foods Manager Mike La Vigne presented a check in the amount of $1,256.80 to Marquette Township Manager Randy Girard and Events Committee Chair Todd Noordyk this morning.

“We are extremely lucky to have Super One Foods as our local grocery store here in Marquette Township,” said Events Committee Chair Todd Noordyk. “The crew at Super One Foods is always willing to jump in and help out at community events like they did last weekend at the 9th Annual Marquette Township Community Days.”

People of all ages from Marquette Township and the surrounding area came together on August 4th at Lions Field in the township for a fun day of music, softball, and community building. Of course, our friends at Super One Foods were there grilling up burgers, brats, and hot dogs – they even brought along ice cold pop for the crowd!

Raise the Roof!

The ice rink at Lions Field is 75’x150’ and township officials wish to raise enough seed money to write grants for a nice 90’x160’ roof over the structure allowing the ice to last longer and the structure to be used for events during the summer.

Super One Manager Mike La Vigne and Meat Department Manager Pete Kolbas said they enjoyed serving hundreds of folks at Community Days. They said the music was great, but they really enjoyed the camaraderie of being the township’s local grocery store.Super One Foods Logo
