Marquette, MI – 07/08/2019 – The 40th annual Pioneer Days are upon us! This ten day celebration sheds light on the wonderful town of Negaunee and its community. The Pioneer Days festival is put on by the Negaunee Irontown Association with the help of local businesses. This event runs through July 5th to July 13th with events for all ages happening everyday.
This week, Tuesday July 9th, one of the events you can check out is the Negaunee Historical Society Ice Cream Social and Superior A’s car show from 6pm-8pm. On Wednesday July 10th, head over to the Negaunee Public Library for a Local Author Signing from 1pm-3pm. Thursday July 11th, the Pioneer Princess Pagent begins at 7pm in the Negaunee High School auditorium. After that, you can support the Pioneer Days Sponsors by heading to downtown Negaunee for Social Night starting at 8pm. Grab a group of four and head to the Pioneer Days Golf Scramble at the Wawonowin Country Club on Friday July 12th, registration is from 8am-9am. The 40th annual Pioneer Days Parade begins on Saturday July 13th at 11:30am, with a new change in the parade route.
After the Parade head to Teal Lake for great music and food at the Pioneer Days Community Picnic that takes place at 1pm until dusk! Stick around for the fireworks display that begins at dusk over Teal Lake.
