Marquette Township, MI  –  Everyone had a lot of fun at the Catch the Vision Street Hockey 3 on 3 tournament this morning at Lions Park.

Several teams registered to play in the event and a couple more teams dropped in to play. Registration was free thanks to Honor Credit Union and Eagle Mine, who paid the registration fees for all teams. The weather held and the hockey players in this fast-paced tournament enjoyed the cool breeze as they ran the full length of the rink.

In fact, the participants had so much fun, the Marquette Township Special Events Committee decided to add another hockey tournament to the Catch the Vision Community Day event at Lions Field on August 1st.

Originally scheduled for March, the Special Events Committee rescheduled the event due to the thaw that melted the ice at the rink. Today’s event generated even more interest in the hockey rink and everyone is looking forward to the next tournament.
