Definition:

1. To insult especially to the face by behavior or language.

2. To cause offense to.

3. To face in defiance: confront.

4. To appear directly before.

Sample  sentence: No matter what the event, we hated to invite Bob because he would always affront us with his rude behavior and seeming indifference to our feelings.
