Verb: Schmooze  (SHMOOZ)

Definition: To converse informally:  chat. Also,  to chat in a friendly and persuasive manner especially so as to gain favor, business, or connections.

Sample sentence: Conference attendees will have plenty of chances to schmooze with the industry’s power players.
