Great Ribs in the Oven, no need for a BBQ or Grill

If you listen to Mark and Walt every morning, you know Mark’s fondness for BBQ Ribs.  Here is a terrific way to prepare BBQ ribs without a grill, smoker or BBQ pit.  This simple recipie works every time using either an electric or gas range in any home or apartment.

In a large baking pan, lay the ribs sheen side down.  Use whatever dry rub (or not) you prefer; and then pour one can of beer around the ribs.  Set the range for about 225 degrees as sloooooooow heat is the key to tenderness.  Place uncovered in the oven for 4 hours and go do something else.  After 4 hours remove the ribs from the moisture in the pan and set them on a clean pan as they’re going back in.  Smother the ribs in your favorite sauce and place back in the oven for another hour allowing the sauce to adhear to the ribs.  After the hour is up, place the pan with the ribs on the highest rack in the oven and turn on the broiler.  Broil the ribs for5-7 minutes to slightly carmalize the sauce.  Remove the ribs, cut into serving sizes and dig in.

You will be the hero of your own home and you’ve only dirtied two pans in the process.

Cheers!
