Carl’s Top-6 Christmas Movies
It’s that time of year again folks. Christmas classics, snow, ’tis the season, and all that jazz. For those of you who are looking forward to cozying up with somebody and watching a movie, here are some ideas for you.
1.) Just Friends – 2005
Starring Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris, and Amy Smart. It’s a romantic comedy, but just plain hilarious.
2.) Home Alone 1 & 2 – 1990 & 1992
They’re classics. If you don’t like these movies, there’s a decent chance that we wouldn’t be good friends. Sorry. And yes, I’m lumping them together. It’s like “The Lord of the Rings”….it’s a continuing story.
3.) Jingle All the Way – 1996
Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sinbad. This is a classic no matter what anybody says….including my boss.
4.) How the Grinch Stole Christmas -2000
Starring Jim Carrey and Taylor Momson, this is an expanded comedy based on Dr. Seuss’ classic Christmas book. In typical Jim Carrey , the movie is over the top and hilarious.
5.) A Christmas Story – 1983
This is an instant classic. Any kid who never wanted a Red Rider BB-Gun, clearly didn’t see this movie, and I feel for ya. Watch it now, while you still have a chance at a childhood.
6.) Elf – 2003
Starring Will Farrell & Zooey Dechanel, this is a classic for kids my age (I was twelve when it came out). It’s a story about Buddy the Elf who was a human that was adopted by one of Santa’s elves and goes to New York to find his biological Dad. It’s hilarious.
There you go. Go watch these and have a great Christmas season.
