Marquette, MI – Tiina Harris, City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center Director, called into the 8th Day radio show and told listeners about the Marquette City Open House this Wednesday, February 17th. Todd Paz and Tiina Harris also spoke about the need in a democracy for the public to get to know and exchange ideas with those they have elected to represent them.
Community members are invited to the City’s Arts & Culture center, in the lower level of Peter White Public Library, to meet City Commissioners, and staff, including Policemen, the Canine Unit, Firemen, the City Manager and City partners. There will also be raffle drawings, giveaways, snacks and refreshments.
Additionally, children will enjoy hands-on activities like filling this year’s sticker passport, testing their microbiology skills with the Wastewater Department, or exploring their own neighborhood with the Geographic Information System used by the Engineering Department.
