Covington, Michigan – Joan Roberts, who schedules the acts for the Covington music series, talked to Todd Pazz about the start of the 2018 Covington free concert series. The series started over 15 years ago, and this year kicks-off Tuesday, July 10th. The dance and music always run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings, featuring mostly country and western music with line dancing. The entire series is sponsored by Covington Township and usually hosts between 75 and 100 people.

Of special note, the forty-piece Air National Guard Band just played last weekend, in exchange for a meal! Genuine small town hospitality is assured.

Concession are done by the non-profit The Community Women’s Group with light meals and home-baked goods. Nacho’s and hot dogs are part of each night’s offerings.
