Alan Larsen 8th Day Interview – Michigamme Church Gospel Music Festival August 4th

Michigamme, Michigan – Woodland United Methodist Church of Michigamme, Michigan, will host a free day of music from 10:00 am – 8:30 pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018.  The public is invited to enjoy a variety of Gospel music by performers from around the UP, along with free light lunch and dinner. Weather permitting, it will be a festival format with most artists performing outside.

The festival docket includes bluegrass strings, harp, piano, handbells, keyboard/guitar, and more. Dozens of talented musicians will share their passion for music of faith in a variety of styles.  For the GospelFest, the musicians lined up to date are: The Johnsons’ Bluegrass Band, Amy Shreve, Bells on the Bay from L’Anse, Lois Westman, Beth Hill Larsen, Victory 8:28, The Goman Family, String Challenged, and Johnny “O”.

Event organizer Alan Larsen said, “There is a lot of talent in the UP, and we want to bring people together to enjoy it.” Everyone is welcome to this free day of Gospel music and community meals.
