NEGAUNEE, MI – 11/24/2014 – The pink jerseys worn by the Negaunee Miners football team in their week 9 victory against the Westwood Patriots are still being utilized today. The jerseys were worn on October 23rd in Negaunee’s last home game of the season as part of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” that takes place each October.
While many of the players purchased their own jersey, there are still some available for purchase. They range from Large to 3XL in sizes and are $75 each.
All proceeds to to the Marquette Cancer Care Center. While October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”, there is no wrong time to donate to cancer research and what better place to start than within your own community?
If you’d like to purchase a jersey, please contact Paul Jacobson at the Negaunee Middle School for more information. You can reach NMS at (906) 475-7866 from 8am to 2:45pm. Checks can be made payable to “Negaunee Public Schools”. This is a first-come-first-serve basis, so don’t wait if you want one! GO MINERS!
