Negaunee Library Book Sale

The Negaunee Library will hold its Annual Pioneer Days Book Sale on Thursday, July 12th, at the Negaunee Senior Center. The Senior Center is two blocks west of the Library. Those wishing to still donate books may drop them off at the Library. Those attending the sale may use the door of the Senior Center on Tobin Street.

Last year, the book sale had over 1500 books for sale at prices from 50 cents for hard cover books, 25 cents for softcover, and only ten cents for all children’s books. It is one of two fund-raising projects of the year for the Friends of the Library, and last year over $800.00 was earned. The Friends of the Library continue to provide for many unbudgeted items for the use of the public at the Library.

The Friends of the Library welcome all those attending the sale and also invite all to become a Friend of the Library. The Friends also provide a Valentine Tea at the Library during the winter. This will be the 32nd anniversary of the Friends, beginning its first book sale during Pioneer Week in 1980.

The sale will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00. Beginning at 2:00, books may be purchased for $1.00 a bag.
