Super sweet Wolverine Costume

Marquette, MIAugust 26, 2014 – Celebrities, crowds, toys, artwork, comic books! If those all sound like fun to you, then I’m sorry. I don’t mean to make you jealous, but I spent the weekend in Chicago, reveling in the awesome that was the 2014 Wizard World Comic Con at the Rosemont Center in Chicago.

This was my third Chicago convention and it’s as much fun now as it was the first time around. How do you have fun at such a place? It’s pretty easy actually:

Step 1: Wear a costume. Cosplay (laymen’s terms: dressing up like a character from your favorite book/tv show/movie) is incredibly popular. It’s also a lot of fun! The only hard part is keeping up with all the people wanting to take your picture.

Step 2: If you can’t wear a costume, get a cool shirt. I may have gotten a lot of compliments on my shirt.

Step 3: Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be standing in a lot of lines. A lot of lines. So many lines.

That’s it, really. I got to relax, have fun, buy some art and acquire some autographs for my collection. Oh, and I got a sneak peak of the Gotham pilot episode. Unfortunately, the sound at the very end was destroyed by a massive thunderstorm.

I’m already planning for next year. I’ll definitely be in costume.

…Maybe.
