MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A musical reunion is underway this weekend in Marquette featuring bands that made up the musical scene in the area in the early 1980’s.

“’80’s Scene And Reheard II” is being held at My Place Lounge at the Holiday Inn tonight and Saturday.  The weekend features an open mic jam tonight and a night of musical reminiscing and debauchery on Saturday featuring the groups Trout Revenge, Blind Ambition and The Queen City Rockers.   Opening the evening tomorrow is Mike Letts & the Marquettes.

This is the second time the reunion is being held and all proceeds raised over the weekend through donations, t-shirt sales and more will benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Marquette and Alger Counties.

Two of the weekend’s musical participants and organizers, Ron Carnell and Mike Krieg joined Walt Lindala on the SUNNY Morning Show today to talk about how this reunion came to be and how it has been getting everyone together once again for this year.

Ron and Mike thanked everyone involved with getting this weekend together and encouraged everyone to come out and catch a bit of Marquette musical history.
