MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) - Stucko’s Pub & grill in Marquette is kicking off the Pro Football season with the Big Bambino Eating Contest this Sunday.

With a definite nod to to the competitive eating phenomenon and the success of TV shows like “Man vs. Food”, Stucko’s Pub & Grill is holding the contest this Sunday at 12:15 p.m. to see who will be the fastest eater of the Big Bambino.

Stucko’s owner and operator Mike Stucko joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt and Mike today to preview the competition and discuss what goes into the Big Bambino Eating Contest.

According to Stucko, contestants will have to eat a one pound hamburger topped with a 1/4-pound fileted hot dog, three slices of cheese, three slabs of bacon, lettuce, tomato and a pickle spear.

That is then served with one pound of fresh french fries and a cold 32 oz. Shoop glass full of beer or soda.

To win the competition, the entire burger, all of the fries and the Shoop must be consumed before all other competitors.  The winner receives a Stucko’s hat and T-shirt and bragging rights for a year.

And if it’s eaten in less than the current record time of 5 minutes, 34 seconds, the colossal entree will be named after the winner on the Stucko’s Pub & Grill menu for a year.

Mike also talked about the entire world of items on the menu and how you can come in anytime and enjoy the Stucko’s experience.
