Marquette City Voters To Determine Fate Of Proposed New City Charter

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Voters heading to the polls next week in the City of Marquette are serving as the final step in the process of approving a new City Charter.
The new City Charter was developed by the 9-member Marquette City Charter Commission over several months of meetings, hearings and discussions. The proposed update has been reviewed and formally vetted and now goes to the voters for final approval.
Marquette City Charter Commission Vice Chair Tom Baldini joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk to Marquette listeners about the new Charter and some of the key changes contained in it.
Baldini also talked about the placement of the measure on the ballot for voters in Marquette to look for it closely to make sure they cast a vote.
