A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 AM EDT THURSDAY.
Light snow will increase to moderate to heavy lake effect snow by early this afternoon through Wednesday night. Total snow accumulations from today through daybreak Thursday will range from 8 to 18 inches. The greatest accumulations are expected north of M-28 to the east of Munising.
A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY.
From today through Wednesday evening…Expect snow accumulations of 10 to 24 inches. The greatest amounts, up to 2 feet, will occur over the higher terrain south of Houghton and west of Baraga.
Northwest winds gusting to 25 to 35 mph this afternoon through Wednesday will create areas of blowing snow, especially in open areas near Lake Superior. The strongest winds and most extensive blowing snow will occur this afternoon and evening across the Keweenaw Peninsula.
