MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The local Fred Waara Chapter of Trout Unlimited is hosting their 26th annual Trout Unlimited Banquet on Saturday at Northern Michigan University.
Chapter President Jim Cantrill joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike recently to promote this annual fundraiser being held at the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.
Cantrill says doors open at 6 p.m. and the evening will be packed with both silent sand vocal auctions, a 50/50 raffle and a card raffle, and the ever-popular bucket raffles.
He added that all funds raised will go to fund the chapter’s programs such as the Upper Peninsula’s Salmon in the Classroom program, the Escanaba River Association Watershed Partnership, youth and adult fly tying lessons, kids’ trout fishing camp, and other cold water conservation projects.
