Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An event showcasing the collective knowledge, capabilities and networking power of several area groups and agencies with a focus on entrepreneurial business development is happening this week in Marquette.
Jason Schneider, Executive Director of the Marquette Chamber of Commerce, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the Marquette Area’s Entrepreneur’s Eco-System Resources After-Hours Networking Event.
Schneider said the event is Thursday, January 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Atrium on the second floor of the C.B. Hedgcock Building on the NMU Campus.
He said several groups, including Invent@NMU, the Lake Superior Community Partnership, AccelerateUP, Northern Initiatives and the Innovate Marquette SmartZone, are teaming with the Chamber to present “the ultimate start-up entrepreneurs’ networking experience”.
Ray Johnson, CEO of the new Innovate Marquette SmartZone, and Natasha Koss, Development Coordinator at Northern Initiatives, also joined the show to talk about the involvement of their respective agencies.
They added that the free event is perfect for all dreamers, small-business owners, entrepreneurs at any level and other business people with the goal of bringing to life an idea, launching a new product or service or starting their own business.
