MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Great Lakes Center for Youth Development is calling for parents, guardians and other adults who interact with youth on a regular basis to become aware of the concept of “family assets”.

Amy Quinn, President-elect at the GLCYD, joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to explain and advocate for these developmental assets.

Quinn discussed how these family-based assets work hand-in-hand with the youth developmental assets their agency surveys and measures in Marquette and Alger counties.

She also encouraged adults who have a direct influence on the development of our area youth to actively engage them in discussions and activities to help them develop their own sets of developmental skill and assets.
