NMU President Erickson Talks About Implementing New Realignment Plan

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University has begun implementation a new Realignment Plan for the Marquette school.

NMU President Fritz Erickson joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about some of the key aspects of the plan.

Erickson said the first steps are now being taken on campus and will include changes across all divisions of the university.

He said among the foremost steps is applying a new strategic plan as approved by the NMU Board of Trustees.

Erickson also explained that some of the on-campus facilities will begin to be upgraded with brick-and-mortar projects starting this spring.

He also shared his thoughts on NMU’s Invent@NMU program receiving a prominent mention in Governor Rick Snyder’s State of the State address last night in Lansing.
