MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County Sheriff Mike Lovelace is reminding drivers to use their seat belts as they hit the road this Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Sheriff Lovelace  joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to spread the word of the local law enforcement involvement in the current national “Click It or Ticket” seat belt use enforcement effort.

He also talked about some common sense driving safety tips to keep in mind as drivers are out there going into the upcoming holiday weekend.

Sheriff Lovelace reminded motorists that the residual damages caused by not wearing a seat belt and getting into a crash are much too high to risk not wearing one for any reason.
