MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Area Blues Society is presenting the 10th Anniversary Blues Fest over the Labor Day weekend in Mattson Lower Harbor Park in downtown Marquette, MI.
Festival Director Mark Hamari joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to promote the show and talk about the lineup.
Hamari said there is a new twist this year with a special “Community Thank You” show on Friday, August 30th. In appreciation of the support the community has given the festival for the past 10 years, the Society is inviting everyone to come down to the Mattson Park after work on Friday and kick off Labor Day weekend with a free show. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m.
Hamari said the free Friday night show will feature “Laura Rain and the Caesars” from Detroit, MI and direct from New York City, “The Gas House Gorillas”.
He also talked about the lineup for the rest of the weekend and ticket info.
