Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – The Marquette Iron Rangers hockey team is playing a schedule a bit out of the ordinary this weekend in Marquette.

Bob Airaudi from the Iron Rangers joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to share details of a day full of hockey at Lakeview Arena on Saturday.

Airaudi explained that the team will not have a game this Friday night as usual, so they will be helping out with the start of the UP 200 and Midnight Run sled dog races in downtown Marquette.

The team will be playing on Saturday in what they are calling “Hockey Day in Marquette”, which will feature games running all day from a wide array of area hockey squads ranging from high school, juniors and more.

The Iron Rangers are playing at 5:30 p.m. or so, depending on the action of the rest of the day’s hockey play, and they will be raising funds for the UP200 with their “chuck a puck” promotion.

Tickets for the game are available at a discount for current members of the Steelworkers Union and retirees will be admitted free.
