Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Senator Debbie Stabenow joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike last Friday morning to discuss a news piece of funding legislation.
Senator Stabenow explained that Michigan forest landowners are now eligible for new federal funding to maintain and improve their land.
Senator Stabenow announced the availability of $200,000 in financial assistance for Michigan non-industrial private forest landowners to develop forest management plans.
Funding for this initiative comes from the Environment Quality Incentives Program, one of the conservation efforts included in the Farm Bill.
