Marquette Area Blues Fest Features Free Show And More!

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Area Blues Fest is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary with a special “Thank You” concert for all of the support from the community.
Festival Director Mark Hamari joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to preview the “Free Friday” show coming up on Friday, August 30th.
Hamari pointed out the free show on Friday evening kicks off the annual Labor Day weekend festival in Mattson Lower Harbor Park in downtown Marquette and is open to all to come and enjoy.
On the bill are “Laura Rain & the Caesars” from Detroit, MI and “The Gas House Gorillas” from New York City. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the music starts at 6:00 p.m.
Hamari also talked about a special promotional activity currently going on where people can pick up some wooden guitar cut-outs to decorate that will be displayed on Marquette’s streets during the weeks leading up to the festival.
He added the cut outs can be picked up Marquette Wallpaper and Paint and at Feet First Reflexology in Marquette.
