Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Dead River Derby Girls roller derby team is rolling into their final match of the season this Saturday in Marquette.
Derby Girls Amy Lakenen and Jess Shull (also known as Miss Adventure) joined Mike Plourde to discuss the final matchup of the year and encourage people to come out support the team.
The girls also explained that the evening has a country feel with the theme of “Knock A Hoedown” and is a benefit for the local Seed and Spores farm that recently had a serious fire affect their livelihood.
The match is Saturday evening at Lakeview Arena in Marquette and all interested fans are strongly encouraged to attend.
