Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center has several projects and events in the works over the next months.

MACC Director Tiina Harris joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to present some more information about the planned events and how people can find out more and take part as well.

Harris mentioned that the Marquette Area Public Schools, Bonifas Art Center and the City of Marquette are working together to present dark sky night advocate and author Mary Adams with artist Patricia DeLisa at the Shiras Planetarium this Friday.

She also reminded residents that on October 26th, the City of Marquette and Downtown Development Authority will host The Halloween Spectacle.  The event is a large-scale community outdoor performance of giant puppetry, percussion and theatrical dance.

This year’s theme is “Heroes versus Villains” and the community is encouraged to dress as their favorite character and pick a side.

Harris also talked about the new publication that is out around the community listing arts programs, classes and more for people to enjoy.
