    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Some changes are coming later this year to the court system in Marquette County.

    Karl Weber, District Judge of the 96th District Court of Marquette County, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to explain what is going to be happening.

    Judge Weber started the conversation off with a discussion of the differences between the Circuit, District and Probate courts in the County.

    He said in accordance with state law, Marquette County will be less one Circuit Court Judgeship after Circuit Judge Tom Solka retires at the end of the year.

    He shared some of his thoughts about the changes and how hearings and caseloads will have to be absorbed by the District Court judges, including himself.

    Judge Weber also talked about his first 100 days as a District Court judge and what he see as some of the key issues facing Marquette County.
