Marquette Arts & Culture Master Plan Public Meetings Announced

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – “Imagine Marquette – Defining a Vibrant Arts and Culture Community” is exactly what the City seeks to do with a new ten year Arts and Culture Master Plan.
Tiina Harris, City Staff Liasion for Arts & Culture, joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this week to invite interested listeners to take part in the planning process.
Harris explained that since the first master plan was written twenty years ago, arts and culture in Marquette and the region has changed significantly.
She added that the new master plan will will include recommendations and define the role of the City in implementing its plan.
Community input is the most critical component of this planning process and there will be two public meetings and a survey to identify and understand the needs, challenges and vision for the area.
Harris said the Public Meetings will take place in the Citizen Forum Room at Lakeview Arena on Monday January 20th from 6:00 to 8:00pm and Tuesday January 21 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
