Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Royales are teaming up with Hoover’s Auto Body and Central U.P. Youth Hockey this weekend to raise money for their programs.

Royales Assistant Coach Cliff Cook and Hoover’s Auto Body owner Bob Airaudi joined Mike Plourde on The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to promote the weekend’s activities.

They explained the two-day event is part of a three-game home series weekend for the Royales against the Tri-City Icehawks.

The NASCAR weekend Central U.P. Youth Hockey fundraiser will take place during the first two games of the weekend, Friday and Saturday.

There will also be a silent auction featuring donations from businesses and various youth hockey programs, highlighted by the auctioning of special Royales player’s jerseys designed just for this event after Saturday’s game.

Jerseys can be bid on 24-hours a day.

Other fundraising opportunities during the weekend include standard raffles, 50/50 raffles and chuck-a-puck.
