21st NMU Student Pow Wow Set For This Weekend In Marquette

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The 21st annual “Learning to Walk Together” traditional pow wow is this weekend at Northern Michigan University.

The pow wow is being put on by the Native American Student Association and the group’s President, Alicia Paquin, and Vice President Larry Croschere joined the SUNNY Morning Show today to invite all listeners to come out and enjoy the event.

Paquin said the pow wow is going to be held this Saturday in Vandament Arena on campus with­ two grand entries at noon and 6 p.m., with general admission tickets are $5 and NMU students are free with a student ID.

Croshere (also known as the Kitchen Boss) talked about the feast meal being held Saturday afternoon as part of the pow wow at the Jacobetti Complex on campus and laid out the menu as well as the hand drum competition scheduled during the meal.
