UPAWS Is Marching Cats This Month For A Good Cause

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  Ann Brownell, with the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter, joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike recently to invite the community to participate in the second annual ““Meow March” Virtual Cat Walk.

    Brownell said the event is the feline solution to a mutt strut is a virtual march running from March 1st through the 31st to benefit homeless pets.

    The virtual march is specifically for cats and their humans and provides the opportunity for cat-lovers to raise money for homeless pets from the comforts of their own homes.

    Brownell says you can pick a virtual destination to “march with your cat, collect pledges, and compete to march the furthest in order to win.

    The top three cats win prizes and you can call UPAWS at 475-6661 for more information.
